Income Tax Department’s ‘survey’ at BBC offices in Delhi and Mumbai ended on February 16 night. The ‘survey’ had begun on February 14 around 11:30 am. The BBC team tweeted, “The Income Tax Authorities have left our offices in Delhi and Mumbai. The BBC is a trusted, independent media organisation and we stand by our colleagues and journalists who will continue to report without fear or favour.” The ‘survey’ was conducted weeks after BBC aired a two-part documentary on Prime Minister Narendra Modi & the 2002 Gujarat riots.
