The fourth-generation BMW X5 introduced in June 2018 has received a facelift for the 2024 model year.
A 2024 BMW X5 xDrive50e with more power, driving range, a new look, an updated interior, and more technology is part of the line-up BMW X5.
Under the hood, the new plug-in hybrid BMW X5 xDrive50e offers more power, efficiency, and electric range.
A latest-generation six-cylinder in-line petrol engine and a similarly new electric motor team up to develop a system output of 360 kW (490 hp) an increase of 70 kW (96 hp) over the outgoing model – and combined torque of 700 Nm (516 lb-ft), which is a rise of 100 Nm (74 lb-ft).
BMW has made some big adjustments to the X5’s powertrain lineup, although the model still gets an eight-speed transmission sending power to an all-wheel-drive system.
The BMW X5 xDrive50e accelerates from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.8 seconds.
BMW will kick off production of the 2024 BMW X5 SUV in April at the plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina, following a public appearance early next month at the Amelia Concours d’Elegance.
The X5 xDrive50e starts at $72,500, a somewhat more substantial $6,800 increase over the 2023 X5 xDrive45e’s base MSRP of $65,700.
