I’ve been thinking of doing an adventure in the northwestern part of Riyadh to explore this part of Saudi Arabia’s central region as my local friends keep telling me to visit and see the exciting sites and magnificent landscape and the stunning desert sand color in this vast desert land that seems without a boundary in one look.
Finally, I had this chance to explore and see what they have here. I woke up early Friday morning, and there was a bit disappointed, for the rain continued pouring; however, as the adventure is scheduled, rain or shine, the adventure should go on.
Besides, the other way of having heavy rain this time is because it is somewhat an answered prayer for the rain to come after more than four years. It’s only now that we have the rain again.
When we were approaching Salbukh and Al Quraina, the heavy rain subsided, and upon entering the town proper of Huraymila, it stopped, though slight showering continued.
It’s pretty amazing to see the desert look in the dimmed morning sunlight with the dark clouds covering the atmosphere.
So I could not help but stop and take this short shot to share with you.
