The Federación Catalana de Ftbol (FCF) (in Catalan and officially: Federació Catalana de Futbol) is the territorial federation of the Real Federación Espaola de Ftbol in Catalua. From its inception until 1940, it was in charge of organizing the Catalan Football Championship. The Catalan Football Federation currently organizes the Copa Catalua, all categories from the Third Division down, as well as the national football team. Since 2009, the Trofeo Catalunya Internacional has also been held.
The Foot-ball Associació is founded on November 11, 1900, as the first football federation in Catalonia and Spain, as an outgrowth of the Catalan Federation. Eduard Alesson was the president, and they were members of the FC Barcelona, Hispània, Català, and the RCD Espayol. This foundation did not exist in any way.
In 2001, the Asociación de Clubes de Ftbol de Catalua is founded, led by the Gramenet and the Hospitalet, with the mission of promoting small and grassroots teams.
