At least ten people were killed and five were left injured in an accident near Patharde in Nashik, Maharashtra. A speeding private luxury bus crashed into a truck around 7 am, police said. The bus was carrying devotees of Shirdi Saibaba. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the family of the deceased. Shinde said medical expenses of the injured will be taken care of.
