लोहड़ी को सर्दियों के मौसम के अंत का प्रतीक भी माना जाता है क्योंकि दिन लंबे होने लगते हैं और रातें छोटी हो जाती हैं. इस बार लोहड़ी का त्योहार 14 जनवरी को मनाया जाएगा. लोहड़ी वाले दिन आग में तिल, मूंगफली डालने की परंपरा है.
