‘Tis the season! Netflix’s first gay holiday rom-com is here and you may need to pick up some tissues before you watch. “Single All the Way” follows Peter (Michael Urie) who is returning home for the holidays. Eager to not spend another Christmas with his family pestering him about being single, Peter asks his best friend Nick (Philemon Chambers) to be his fake holiday date. In a chat with Gayety editor Levi Chambers, Jennifer Robertson (Schitt’s Creek), who plays Peter’s sister Lisa, said she was drawn to the script because it normalized an LGBTQ+ romance. “I love that the family was so supportive, I love that they wanted him to find love over the holidays. I liked that it was just about that.
