Formed by singer and keyboardist Felix Bria, drummer Dave Mitchell and guitarist Gary Pihl, the band started in 1967. During that year they had enjoyed success on the city's club circuit, where they became quite frequent at performances at Bill Graham at the Ballroom Avalon, and also gained prominence at free concerts in Golden Gate Park. Mitchell was later replaced by Roy Garcia, with Bria being replaced by Johnny Vernazza.

The album was recorded at Studio 10 in San Francisco, produced by Tom Preuss in 1969, cleverly titled "Blindness Day", the album has a reputation for being original, but in fact it has nothing extraordinary, just a trio of competent musicians , but without any particularly original material. Tracks like "Young Girl", "Lament Classe Medieval" and "I Got No Money" offer a fairly standard mix of electric blues, harder rock and modest psych moves. The band's sound is very reminiscent of The Doors.

After recording this album, the band changed its name and formation, becoming Fox. Pihil reappeared as a member of Crossfire in the 1970s and became a member of one of Sammy Hagar's bands. Then in 1985 he joined Boston.
