Residents of Uttarakhand's Joshimath held a torchlight protest Wednesday night to highlight cracks developing in as many as 561 houses as a result of continued land subsidence in the spiritual town. Local people are in a state of panic due to the increasing scope of landslide. People are living in the shadow of fear. On the other hand, the displeasure of the local people towards the government is increasing. People's protests have intensified.
