The House of Representatives adjourned without electing a speaker on Tuesday after Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy failed to win a majority on three ballots. The third round of voting for House speaker ended with McCarthy receiving one less vote — giving Rep. Jim Jordan one more vote. Democratic Rep.
