A temple elephant in Palakkad went berserk and violent during a temple festival leaving people in panic for two hours. The incident took place at Thiruvara Shiva temple, Kizhakkanchery in Palakkad on December 28. The elephant damaged eight two-wheelers parked in the temple compound. Nearly 600 people were inside the temple compound when the elephant ran amok.
