The British North-American Act is a psychedelic band formed in Montreal, Quebec in 1968. It included five musicians from various countries of the world - Hungary, England and Canada. Their only album "In The Beginning..." in 1969 was recorded by Now Records and produced by Bryan Chater. It was preceded by the single "Joe Cool/The World Will Understand". The release was sustained in the best traditions of "sunshine pop", inherent in "Association" and "The Turtles", and there were also songs a la "Buffalo Springfield". Good fuzz guitars, organ, great songs and vocal harmonies. The album was re-released on vinyl by Antar 7 in the UK (with black and white cover) in 1987 and then again by Akarma Records in 2004 before being released on CD by Afterglow.
