Story:
After becoming the king of Israel, God came to Solomon to grant him any wish he desired. The new king asked for the wisdom to help lead his kingdom. Pleased by the nobility of his request God made him both the wisest and richest man to have ever lived.
Subsequently he became renowned for his wisdom, wealth and supreme leadership. An example of how wise he was is shown in the bible story called The Judgement of King Solomon. Two mothers from the same house came to him with a baby boy each claiming him as their own. To settle the dispute King Solomon said the baby should be cut in half and the mothers would receive half each. The first mother agreed, she would rather the baby die than go to the other mother. The second begged the king not to kill the baby and even suggested the infant go to the other mother to keep him alive. The king could now see who was telling the truth and ruled that the boy go home with the mother who protected her son.
