Home Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the police will be given the freedom to investigate a statement by Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor on alleged money politics, if there is a basis to do so.
He said this during a press conference on Tuesday (Dec 6) after a news portal reported that Sanusi had allegedly described voters as being stupid and an embarrassment for wanting to return to vote.
