Dharavi, the largest slum in Asia and the third largest in the World is undergoing a redevelopment. Last week, the Adani group bagged the project of redevelopment bidding ₹5069 crore trumping DLF. Of the 300 hectares of land, the govt has notified 240 hector for the redevelopment. This is one of the biggest Slum redevelopment being undertaken by the SRA since its establishment. The govt plans to complete the rehabilitation of the slum dwellers within 7 years of beginning of construction. But while this project is ambitious, the task in front of Adani realty is humongous.
