Respect for Marriage Act moves to the Senate after House vote

The Respect for Marriage Act now moves to the House where it is expected to pass. The Senate passed the bill Tuesday night by a vote 61 to 36. Twelve Republicans joined Democrats to pass the legislation that provides federal protections for same-sex marriages. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer praised the vote Tuesday saying it's about treating everyone equally.
