Two Birmingham men who sexually assaulted and abused a homeless woman during a visit to London have been jailed. Jake Johnson and Matthew Bibb were both jailed last Wednesday after they pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault. They were given 11 years.

A man has died after an electric motorcycle crashed into a lamppost during the early hours of Saturday morning. Police and paramedics were called to the scene in Kingstanding but nothing could be done to save him. Police are appealing for more information.

Patients at doctors surgeries in Birmingham have to wait far longer for appointments than elsewhere new NHS data shows. Many patients had to wait more than four weeks for an appointment at their local practice in October. The longest for wait an appointment at First Care Practice in Balsall Heath.
