Iran secured their first win of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 with a battling win over 10-man Wales. The game appeared to be headed towards a goalless draw but the fortunes changed for Carlos Queiroz's side after Wayne Hennessey was sent off for the Dragons.

Rouzbeh Cheshmi and Ramin Rezaeian scored one each in injury-time to secure the three points & remain in contention for the knockout stages.
