Shahi Haleem with Nuts Pulao
Ingredients for Shahi Haleem:
Oil 1/2 cup + 1/2 cup
Beef (boneless) 250 g
Beef Bones 500 g
Onion (sliced) 1/2 cup
Shan Pulses & Grain Mix 1 sachet
Shan Shahi Haleem Masala 1 sachet
Water 12 cups
Ingredients for Nuts Pulao:
Oil 1/3 cup
Cumin seeds 2 tsp
Raisins 1/2 cup
Cashew nuts 1/2 cup
Soaked rice 2 cups
Water 3 ½ cups
Directions for Shahi Haleem Preparation:
1. In a pot heat 1/2 cup oil and add meat and bones. Cook until meat changes color.
2. Now add Shan Shahi Haleem Masala and stir fry for few minutes.
3. Now add Shan Pulses & Grain Mix and mix it well.
4. Now add 12 cups of water and cover and cook on low heat for 4-6 hours or until meat is fully tender.
5. Take off the lid and discard the bones.
6. Now blend the mixture with wooden spoon.
7. Cook on low heat for 20-30 minutes.
8. In another pan heat 1/2 cup of oil and fry the sliced onions until golden in color.
9. Now pour the fried onions over prepared Haleem and and mix well.
10. Your Shahi Haleem is ready.
Directions for Nuts Pulao Preparation:
1. In a pot heat oil and add cumin seeds, raisins and stir fry for a minute.
2. Add water and bring it to a boil.
3. Now add soaked rice and cook until 80% water has been absorbed.
4. Add cashew nuts and cover and steam over low flame for 5-10 minutes.
5. Your Nuts Pulao is ready. Serve it with Shan Shahi Haleem.
