This only album by Finchley Boys is a very satisfying mix of psychedelia, hard rock and some bluesy influences. The material was recorded in 1968 and 1969 but the album wasn't released until 1972. The guitarwork is strong and these songs all do their job very well. The album is a pretty consistent totality because there are no clear standout moments. The A-side is very nice but especially the B-side kicks ass here.
When I gave this album a listen for the first time I gave it 3,5 stars out of five. But after all these years I'm glad to say that I like it much more nowadays and I'm gonna rate it with 4,5 stars now. This is not a five stars record but if you're fan of the late 60's psychedelia you gotta check this one out.
