Selangor Umno liaison chief Tan Sri Noh Omar has resigned from his post with immediate effect while several other veterans also called on party president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to step down as well following Barisan Nasional’s defeat in the general election.

Noh announced that to reporters after attending the Umno political bureau meeting at the party’s headquarters in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday (Nov 20).
