Various parts of southern Johor were hit by flash floods yesterday evening after hours of heavy rain.

Johor Bahru incumbent, Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir shared an encounter with religious school students in Kampung Dato Hajah Hasnah.

They were considering wading through the flood waters but were convinced to seek shelter.

In a Facebook post, he said two households in the neighbourhood had to be evacuated as it was badly affected by the flash floods and their electricity was cut off.
