PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli has accused the caretaker government of trying to bulldoze awarding contracts worth billions of ringgit for cronies.
He said this is despite a Treasury circular saying the caretaker government must avoid entering into contractual commitments or undertakings that would have financial implications on the next government.
"In the heat of GE15, the people may not be aware that we are facing a huge risk of projects worth billions being approved and awarded by the caretaker government," Rafizi said in a statement today.
The Pandan candidate said one case involves the Environment and Water Ministry and flood mitigation projects.
Malaysiakini has contacted the company involved in the flood mitigation projects for a response to Rafizi's allegations.
