An Australian sniper nicknamed “Ninja” has been killed fighting Russian forces in Ukraine, as per reports. 40-year-old Trevor Kjeldal from Brisbane was reportedly killed in action in the Donbas region of Ukraine this week. Kjeldal, who is believed to have arrived in Ukraine earlier this year, was first reportedly injured in July with near-fatal gunshot wounds. However, he reportedly returned to the frontlines after recovering from the injury in September. Despite his injury, Kjeldal had said that he had no plans to return to Australia and wanted to fight until the war was over. Australian PM Anthony Albanese also passed on his condolences to Kjeldal's family and friends on November 5. The Australian government has warned its people to not travel to Ukraine, calling it an "extremely dangerous place".
