छठ पर्व की शुरुआत इस वर्ष 28 नवंबर, 2022 से हो रही है।​​ छठ पूजा में सामग्री का संपूर्ण ज्ञान होना अति आवश्यक है तब ही छठ व्रत पूर्ण होता है। छठ व्रत विशेष रूप से पुत्र प्राप्ति के लिए किया जाता है। इस दिन महिलाएं/पुरुष निर्जल व्रत करते हैं। छठ व्रत सामग्री का बहुत महत्व होता है।
