Several explosions thundered in the central Shevchenko district of the capital of Ukraine Kiev, on the morning of October 17, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said in the Telegram messaging app. The explosions were the loudest in Kiev since a flurry of strikes was launched on October 10 in retaliation for the explosion on a strategic bridge and in response to Ukraine's successes on the battlefield in a counteroffensive.
