Location of the Prayer Area
The location of the pooja rooms is of great importance in Vastu shastra. Experts say that the most preferable directions for pooja room are the north east, followed by east and north. These directions are promising and will bring good fortune to all members residing in the house.

While building the pooja room in your house, make sure you are not constructing it:

Under a staircase
Right in front of the main door
Next to the toilet or
Sharing a wall with a toilet or bathing room.
