This is the bizarre moment a female thief distracts a shopkeeper by ‘mum dancing’ while her pal stuffs electronic goods down her top. Crystal-clear CCTV footage shows the brazen pair browsing the mobile phone shop in Nuneaton, Warks., last Saturday (1/10) afternoon. At one point the red-haired woman, wearing a turquoise cardigan, chats to the shopkeeper Kanul Mehra before performing some dodgy dance moves. While he is distracted, the blonde-haired women in a pink cardigan, stuffs mobile phone accessories down her top. The blonde woman, sporting a distinctive beehive hairdo, can be seen peering over to see if she is being watched while her pal chats to Mr Mehra and another customer. She then grabs iPhone charges and headphones and slips them inside her white vest top. As the women leave Nuneaton Mobiles they carry on pretending to dance before they snatch two children’s colouring packs from a display stand. The brunette even cheekily waves at Mr Mehra as she and her accomplice walk out the store. Mr Mehra, 38, said: “She pulled out the ‘dancing lady’ trick to distract me and I fell for it. “I had Bananza Belly Dancer by Akon and Sean Paul playing in the shop when they came in. “I was serving a customer and fixing his phone and the two women started dancing to distract me and they kept asking me questions. “One lady was dancing and distracting me whilst the other was stealing from me. I just thought it looked a little like ‘mum dancing’ and carried on repairing the phone. “The two women looked young to me in their late 20s or 30s. “They were only in the shop a short time but they got away with hundreds of pounds worth of goods.” The women spent just three minutes in the shop before stealing £150 worth of iPhone chargers and wireless headphones. Mr Mehra is passing the footage of the dancing thieves to Warwickshire Police.
