Australia suffering dire skills deficit with occupation shortages doubling in 2022

Federal Skills and Training Minister Brendan O'Connor says the government is looking at ways to address the growing skills shortage. The National Skills Commission has today released a skills priority list, showing 286 occupations are in national shortage, compared to 153 occupations in 2021.
