The US Coast Guard conduct search and rescue efforts, flying over Florida's coastal areas affected by Hurricane Ian.
The death toll has risen to at least 62, officials said Sunday.
"For Hurricane Ian it was largely the helicopter operations that were hoisting people out of this harmful hazardous destroyed area that we've seen over the last several days, so our job during Ian has been to spot those people, locate those people and then get an asset helicopter on the scene and hoist those people out," says Lt Commander of Coast Guard Brandon Di Cardines.
