Opposition calls for government to waive cost of new passports for people affected by Optus hack

The Federal Health Minister says the government is assessing whether new medicare numbers will need to be issued for some Optus customers. The company has been criticised for failing to promptly notify the government that medicare numbers were among the stolen data. The Opposition is also calling on the government to waive the cost of new passports.
