A farmer in Gaoua, Noël KAMBOU has been suffering from lymphatic filariasis for more than 25 years. This disease is a real burden, which hinders his agricultural activities. "When I fall and my foot hurts, I can lie down for twenty days without leaving my room. So I can no longer farm," says Noël. Before this illness, he was able to produce enough for his family and for other needs.
Despite these difficulties, he is still determined to fight his way through. "I am a father, I have children, I have to take care of their needs. That's why I get up, I manage to get my farm work in order to help the family," he says.
