As soon as a partial mobilisation of Russians was announced, a former Russian officer who wishes to be referred only as Alex jumped in his car and drove to Finland. Because of his military background, Alex -- born in Sevastopol in the Soviet era -- fears he would be among those Russia sent to the frontlines.
