After six weeks, the Social Welfare Department wrapped up its distribution of educational assistance for indigent students.

Over 1.6 billion pesos were distributed to almost 677 thousand beneficiaries.

While an extension of the program remains up in the air, some remain hopeful they can still receive the much needed cash aid.
