Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor on Monday met Sonia Gandhi and expressed his intention to contest the upcoming AICC chief polls, while the Congress president conveyed that she would stay "neutral" in the elections, sources said. Meanwhile, speculation is rife that the Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will file his nomination for the Congress presidential poll.

Meanwhile Opposition in Punjab alleged that a Frankfurt-Delhi flight was delayed due to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who was deplaned for being ‘too drunk to walk’. German airline Lufthansa later issued a clarification that the delay was caused due to “delayed inbound flight and an aircraft change”.
