विश्वकर्मा जयंती 17 सितंबर के दिन कन्या संक्रांति के दिन मनाई जाती है और इसी दिन भगवान विश्वकर्मा की पूजा- अर्चना की जाती है। शास्त्रों के अनुसार भगवान ब्रह्रााजी ने इस समूची सृष्टि की रचना की और भगवान विश्वकर्मा ने सृष्टि को सुंदर तरीके से सजाया और संवारा है। भगवान विश्वकर्मा को इस सृष्टि का सबसे बड़ा इंजीनियर माना जाता है। ऐसी मान्यता है कि इस दिन भगवान विश्वकर्मा ने सृष्टि के रचयिता ब्रह्मा जी के सातवें पुत्र के रूप में जन्‍म लिया था। इस दिन लोग अपने कारखानों में लगी मशीनों और वाहन का पूजन करते हैं। ऐसी मान्यता है कि इस दिन पूजन करने से मशीने सही रूप से चलती रहती हैं। वहीं इस दिन 5 शुभ योग भी बन रहे हैं। आइए जानते हैं शुभ मुहूर्त.
