Welcome Back to Japan today we are once again in Beppu.

This is part 2 of visiting the Hell onsens

In video 1 we covered the first 5 and today we will visit the last 2

the first one we Visit today is said to be the oldest “hell” hot spring in all of Japan.

In 2009, it was designated as a national scenic site.

The Chinoike Jigoku (血の池地獄) - "Blood Pond Hell".

As you can see it has a red, blood-like color.

With a steaming temperature of 78 degrees Celsius,
it’s easy to see why this pond is off limits for bathing.
You just can’t survive it! Plus,
the presence of iron oxide and magnesium-rich clay at the bottom of the pond
makes it even deadlier.

Next is the last Hell and this one impressed me the most.
Tatsumaki Jigoku
The "spout hell" features a boiling hot geyser,

This is what it looks like before it errupts.
This clip is in slow motion at half speed.

which erupts every 30-40 minutes for about 6-10 minutes.
A stone plate above the geyser hinders it to reach its full height.

Thank you for watching if you missed the first part the link is in the description.
