The Supreme Court on Thursday issued notice to the  Gujarat government and the Centre seeking their response on plea challenging remission to 11 convicts in the Bilkis Bano gangrape case.

A bench headed by Chief Justice NV Ramana issued the notice and asked the petitioners to implead those who have been granted remission as parties in the matter.
