Nepalese climber summits the world’s 14 highest peaks twice, setting world record

Sanu Sherpa, a mountain climber from Nepal, set a world record by summiting all of the world’s 14 highest peaks, twice. Known as the “eight thousanders”, each of the 14 mountains is more than 8,000 metres (26,247ft) above sea level, with five of them located in Nepal and the rest in Pakistan and China. The 48-year-old mountaineer returned to Nepal after reaching the top of Gasherbrum II in Pakistan on August 18, 2022.
