The celebrations of Chennai Day is underway at Elliot’s Beach in Besant Nagar, as Chennai turned 383 years on August 20. It was a two-day event which was held in association with Confederation of Indian Industry. Large number of people were seen enjoying at Elliot’s Beach to mark Madras Day.While talking to Tamil , he said, “Chennai Day is celebrated on August 22 but a week before that a lot of activities have been organised by Greater Chennai Corporation along with police and various organisations. We are also organising music, short film, photography competitions.”
