Goa Police along with Mumbai Crime Branch on July 31 arrested the most wanted and dreaded Mumbai criminal, involved in over 30 heinous crimes, in Panaji with a live firearm.

“Last night Mumbai police approached us informing us a most notorious criminal, Vikrant Deshmukh was in Goa. We formed a crack team, laid several traps across Panjim, nabbed him. Also recovered a pistol with 5 live rounds, case registered,” informed Shobhit D Saxena, North Goa SP.

“He is dreaded criminal with over 40 criminal cases registered against him in state. He is also wanted in a murder case. We are happy we could assist Mumbai police. As per him, he was only here for recreational purposes, but we're checking,” he added.
