Ao Naga Choir performs at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, on 22nd June 2013.
The Ao Naga Choir was formed in the year 2009. Since then, it has grown to its present strength of approximately 40 members which includes 12-15 professional singers/musicians. The choir is an affiliate member of The Royal School of Church Music, UK and is also a member of the International Federation of Choral Music, USA. Some of the members of the choir have been formally trained abroad in music.
In December 2012 the Choir had the privilege to perform for the President and distinguished guests at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
In addition to fulfilling its responsibilities in the church, members of the Choir undertakes an extensive programme of choral music education in a number of schools and various institutions as well as performs regular concerts in Delhi and the NCR.
The choir has a wide repertoire ranging from Western classical, folk to popular and spiritual music and choruses from opera, operetta and Broadway musicals.
A smaller ensemble comprising 12 versatile members of the choir along with some of the city's finest musicians are performing. An evening of classics and evergreen tunes of the Eagles, Beatles, CSNY, Neville Brothers, Carpenters, Fleetwood Mac and a few surprises!!
