BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla, in an exclusive interview with India Today, slammed the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra and said, "The alliance of convenience became the alliance of collapse."

The MVA government was formed under the alliance of the Shiv Sena, NCP and the Congress.

Poonawalla said the NCP and Congress did not involve themselves actively in the state matters even when Uddhav Thackeray resigned as the chief minister.
