Ahmedabad experienced heavy downpour on Sunday resulting in rise of water level of some rivers which inundated various low-lying areas of the city. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation decided to keep schools and colleges closed in Ahmedabad on Monday in view of heavy rains.

The average rainfall recorded was 114.3 millimetres.
