Marathi actor Ketaki Chitale, who was jailed for allegedly posting a defamatory and derogatory poem against NCP chief Sharad Pawar, said she was molested and hit during her time in police custody. She also said that her arrest was 'unlawful'.

On May 14, 2022, Thane Police arrested Chitale for sharing on Facebook a Marathi verse which allegedly referred to NCP chief Sharad Pawar in a derogatory way.
