Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on June 25 said that he will not get involved in Maharashtra political crisis. Rebel MLAs from Maharashtra are staying at a Guwahati hotel. “We have 200 hotels in Guwahati and all have guests. Would we remove guests stating the flood situation? BJP is supporting (rebel Shiv Sena MLAs) in Maharashtra, I won't get involved,” said CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. “Our job is to provide security, comfortable stay to anyone who's come from outside. Tomorrow, even if Congress comes, I will extend the same welcome. I am grateful that Shiv Sena came, it’s the reason Assam's flood was highlighted,” he added.
