The New South Wales Premier Dominic Perrottet has ordered an investigation into the process which led to the former Deputy Premier landing a plum taxpayer-funded job in New York. John Barilaro has been appointed the state's first trade commissioner to the Americas with half a million dollar salary package. New documents obtained through parliament show the way the job was recruited was changed just days before Mr Barilaro resigned from politics.
