The deluge has created havoc in Assam. Thousands of lives are there to eat the stumbling blocks. In the last 24 hours, 12 more people, including four children, have died. Four people have died in Hojai district, two in Kamrup and three each in Barpeta and Nalbari. With these deaths, the death toll in this year's floods and landslides has now risen to 100. More than 54.7 lakh people have been affected in 4,941 villages in 32 districts.

असम में जल प्रलय ने तबाही मचा कर रख दी है. हजारों जिंदगियां दरबदर ठोकरें खाने को मौजूद हैं. पिछले 24 घंटों में चार बच्चों समेत 12 और लोगों की मौत हो गई है. होजई जिले में चार, कामरूप में दो और बारपेटा और नलबाड़ी में तीन-तीन लोगों की मौत हुई है. इन मौतों के साथ इस साल की बाढ़ और भूस्खलन में मरने वालों की संख्या अब बढ़कर 100 हो गई है. 32 जिलों के 4,941 गांवों में 54.7 लाख से अधिक लोग प्रभावित हुए हैं.
