With the upcoming Presidential Election, the stakes are high. Parties are expected to announce their president-elect soon to then be able to start the election rally. Ruling party BJP President JP Nadda held a meeting recently where the criteria were discussed and a presidential candidate was to be decided upon. A similar meeting took place in the opposition to declare their presidential candidate. 

The presidential elections will take place on 18th July in India.
