Shreya Lenka talks about becoming India's first k-pop singer, living the dream, cracking the audition, training to become a k-pop artist, and being part of the k-pop band 'Blackswan' in an exclusive interview with GOODTiMES' Puja Talwar.
Shreya Lenka is India's first-ever professional K-pop artiste. The 18-year-old from Odisha is a part of the popular South Korean girl group Blackswan along with a Brazilian girl called Gabriela Dalcin. The news was announced by Blackswan’s music label, DR Music.
Talking about cracking the audition and her training, she adds, "You need to be very good at dancing and singing. You should have the knowledge, you need to improve at every step because they are there to see your potential. You know to catch their attention in 5-10 seconds, else they won't select you. For training you need to know everything, basically you need to become an idol."
She also opens up about the rigorous training that the artists have to go through, weight management, improving at every step and practising every day, her favourite k-pop artists, k-dramas and more.
